Powerlight PL24

We received this email on October 3, 2006 from a Marine injured in Iraq: Im back at home now on meds recovering. I.E.D exploded on me in iraq. wall fell on me trapping me. woke up after 4 hours in the dark. no friendlies around! had several broken bones. only my right arm was free. was able to grab my PL24 off my belt and signal a drone ( overhead). the ONLY reason i lived was because that drone spotted me shining my light at it! got a rescue 45 mins later. if not for my A.E. i was MIA for sure! got to the hospis a lil banged up but alive. sadly either i dropped ( when i passed out) or some 1 stole my light!!!. sure will miss that light!!..i guess i cant bitch it did save my life...the drone operator said " i saw what looked like a lighthouse" **if u don't know its nearly 100% pure black in Iraq. my PL24 has not just saved my life BUT many others as well. in search and recue. i have had several insurgents actually surrender when i hit them with the light from FAR away. they assume its a tank or bradley! trust me when i tell u this PL24 IS a combat ready light. i never had 1 failure or problem ever. the slow start thing is not so bad even in the cold. i do not want to goto combat with ANY other light, ever. people talk about "tactical" light. able to blind for a second. they have sad lil mags and other cigar size lights i just laugh at! not to mention full bright for 2+hours... Thank You Tech people, engineers, from the CEO and owner to the clean up crew! u have saved a marines life.. for that i can never thank u enough!! god bless all of y'all and the USA ! I received the light last Friday am, minutes before leaving to a weekend race, The Kinik 200. My staff read the manual to me in the truck and by the time I started the race I was set. Took it along and glad I did. Thru the course of this 200 miles several teams were lost for awhile on wrong trails blowing snow and near whiteout conditions. I also had moments of trail confusion, and your light answered the need each time, picking up a distant marker/reflector many could not see. I was very glad I had the light with me. I received the light and an still in awe as to it's brightness. It is substantially larger than I anticipated but I understand why. I have already initiated some basic testing for building clearing and law enforcement room clearing. I had previously conducted test with various light systems, to include the Dominator 10X and a few others. Your light is much, much brighter than he others and actually offers a tactical advantage because of the light beams color, wavelength, as well as its obvious brightness. Terrific light, powerful, clean, white beam of light that carries easily if you use the shoulder strap. My wife has already decided it's "her" light for nighttime dog walks. He doesn't get lost running on the beach and she feels pretty secure with the light output as a piece of defensive gear. Greg

I got tired of trying to compare the light output with some of the most powerful flashlights that I had and I had to put it up against 2 different car headlights. My god, there is no freaking comparison. what a light!!!!!!!!!! you guys made... Wilson Q. Law Enforcement Officer
